Chancery Place welcomes Johnson Law Group to Roster of Lettings

07 July 2023

Manchester-based law firm, Johnson Law Group have announced their Manchester expansion to Chancery Place on Brown Street, leasing part of the 4th floor, taking up 2,380 sq ft on a five-year lease.

The letting was advised by OBI, which will see the law group expand their office in Manchester’s central business district, relocating from managed workspace to a fully fitted and furnished solution within Chancery Place.

The 15-storey workspace building offers the highest quality service, including a reception with premium finishes and a communal roof terrace that offers some of the best views of the Manchester skyline. Chancery Place is “corporate but cool” and the building is home to a number of businesses including Munich RE, AND Digital, Palatine Private Equity and corporate finance advisors, Clearwater International.

Chancery Place is known for its ideal location, sitting in the heart of Manchester city centre, within walking distance of St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Train Station, as well as in close proximity to a number of restaurants, bars, and shops.

Jamie Patton, Managing Director at Johnson Law Group, said:

“Chancery Place is the ideal location for Johnson Law Group, giving us room to expand, with lots of natural light, a fantastic roof terrace and great views of the city. We wanted a modern space with first class facilities and Chancery Place ticked all the boxes. We’re looking forward to moving in and making it our home this summer.”

Andrew Cowell, Transactions and Asset Management at OBI, said:

It goes without saying that Johnson Law Group will be a fantastic addition to Chancery Place. The building has been through a fantastic refurbishment with a newly refurbished reception, roof terrace, and the fully fitted workspace that has been delivered for Johnson Law Group, which will be the perfect place to grow their Manchester office. Chancery Place is in the heart of Manchester’s CBD, which is an ideal location for any growing business.”

Alex Pocock, Asset Manager at NFU Mutual, said: “We look forward to welcoming Johnson Law Group to Chancery Place – this transaction is an endorsement of the level of refurbishment that has been carried out across the building in recent years, including the newly created communal roof terrace, which offers uninterrupted panoramic views of the city centre.”

OBI employs 40 people and provides advice to clients across its multi-discipline services, which include leasing and investment, business relocations, workplace consultancy, branding, interior design, project management and dilapidations.

CBRE and Colliers acted as leasing agents.
